Long-Term Response of Plants at Barrow and Atqasuk to ITEX Warming Experiments
Robert D. Hollister, Patrick J. Webber , Steven P. Rewa, and Craig E. TweedieTask 2:
Describe individual species response to temperature for a variety of attributes.
Often individual species response to temperature can be more adequately described when examined in the context of a range of temperatures. For example the differences in end of season stature response to OTCs of Luzula confusa (Figure H, I) can be explained by evaluation of seasonal progression of stature (Figure J). The temperature response of Luzula confusa is clearly similar at all the research sites in the early season. Only the Atqasuk site is warm enough to reach an asymptote.
