director of CEVL is Professor
Stuart H.Gage. The people involved in the everyday activities of
the laboratories are Manuel
Colunga,
Amos Ziegler and Matt
McKimmy. Manuel Colunga, an academic specialist, coordinates a multidisciplinary
course in Earth System Science and manages several of our research projects.
Amos Ziegler coordinates a regional Gypsy Moth monitoring project and manages
the laboratory computing environment. Matt Mckimmy is a GIS specialist that
provides technology and GIS support to research projects. We have several students working in the lab. They Include graduate assistants, Chuck McKeown (Entomology), Munjal Doshi (Engineering&Comp. Sci.), Brian Napoletano (Zoology) and Asif Prasla (Electrical Engineering). The undergraduates include Yancy Johnson (Engineering&Comp.Sci.), Shoaib Momin (Comp. Science) and Anil Ali (Comp. Eng.) Former students that worked in the lab include Krishna Marella (Elect.&Comp.Eng), Radhika Iyer (Elect.&Comp.Eng), Jake Mater (Zoology), Allison Myers (Lyman Briggs School), Arif Momin (Computer Science), Sharadha Parthasarathy (Engineering&Comp. Sci.), Amit Gore (Electrical&Comp. Eng.), Stephanie Marchbanks (Env.Studies&App), Dave Hernandez (Lyman Briggs School) and Rizwan Maknojia (Comp. Sci.&Economics). The CEVL collaborates with several MSU faculty including Gene R. Safir (Plant Pathology), Bryan Pijanowski (Zoology), Jan Stevenson (Zoology), Patrick Webber (Plant Biology), Jiaquo Qi (Basic Science and Remote Sensing Initiative), Phil Robertson (Crop and Soil Science), Dave Long (Geology) and David Skole (Basic Science and Remote Sensing Initiative). Collaboration from other institutions are John Helly and Tony Fountain (San Diego Supercomputer Center), Bernie Krause (Wild Sanctuary Inc), Scott Isard (University of Illinois) and Donna Leonard (USFS-Forest Health Protection). |
